Exit Permit: “Ejazeh Khorooj or Mohr –e- Khorooj اجازه خروج ”: A document or stamp issued by Iranian
government on passport, enabling the passport holder to leave the country of Iran. This stamp is
mandatory for married women and children under 18 years of age by their father who reside to Iran, in
order to leave the country with or without the husband.
Will: “Vassiatnameh or Vassiat nameh وصیت نامه ”: An Iranian legal document containing instructions as
to what should be done with one's money and property after one's death.
Tenant: “Mostajer مستاجر ”: A person who occupies land or property rented from a landlord.
Prospective Soldiers: “Mashmool Sarbazi مشمولین سربازی”: A male Iranian individual who is expected or

Summon: “Ehzarieh احضاریه ” : Authoritatively or urgently call on (someone) to be present, especially as
a defendant or witness in an Iranian law of court.
Land: “Zamin زمین ”: Real property, real estate (and all that grows thereon), and the right to minerals
underneath and the airspace over it. It may include improvements like buildings, but not necessarily.
Store Front: “Maghazeh or Maqazeh مغازه ”: A shop. A store front or a shop in Iranian legal terminology

to provide streets and sewers for the subdivision without the consent of one or more owners.
Vital Deed Registration Office: “Edareh Sabt -e- Ahval اداره ثبت احوال”: An Iranian agency responsible for
issuance of birth certificates, and registration of vital life events such as marriage, birth, divorce, and
death of an individual.
Office of Deed and Property Registration or Recordation: “Edare –e- Sabt Asnad va Amlak Iran اداره ثبت
اسناد و املاک کشور”: An Iranian agency responsible for registration and recordation of related issues with
any personal property, real estate and corporations.
Municipality: “Shahrdari شهرداری ”. An Iranian entity for management of cities. City Hall.
Urban Planning Agency: “Zamin Shahriزمین شهری ”. An Iranian agency responsible for regulating the
existing land in urbanized areas of Iran.
Passport: “Gozarnameh or Gozar Nameh گذرنامه ”: A travel documents issued in Iran’s passport offices or
Iranian consulate offices abroad.
Crime: “Jorm جرم ”: An illegal act that is punishable by jail.
Office of Natural Resources: “ Edareh Manabe Tabiei اداره منابع طبیعی ”: An Iranian agency responsible for
regulating natural resources.
Death Certificate: “Govahi foat or Govahi Marg گواهی فوت ”: A certificate issued by Iranian Municipality
to register death of an individual.
Pension: “Bazneshastegi بازنشستگی ”: Money paid to individual for their retirement.

Marriage License: “Sand –e- Ezdevaj سند ازدواج ”: A deed issued by a notary public in Iran or Iranian

individuals.
Divorce License: “Sanad –e- Talagh سند طلاق ”: A deed issued by a notary public in Iran or Iranian
Consulates abroad that records all the necessary information pertaining a divorce between to
individuals.
Proof of Lineage: “ Esbat –e- Nasab اثبات نسب ”: A court proceeding that must occur in an Iranian court
for proving one’s lineage to their parents.
Guardianship of parents: “Kefalat کفالت ”: A form of exemption for compulsory military through
guardianship of parents for Iranian male individuals above 18 years of age.
